View Full Version : trouble texturing arm

Hello all. I'm trying to unwrap this arm to texture it in Photoshop but have this weird issue. I imported the hand from Maya 6 as obj, imported to Max 6 and attached to the arm. The smoothing groups are all wacky and the hand looks triangulated while the arm shows quads. I applied a checker to the arm and got the results in the attached image. I thought it was flipped faces or normals but that is not the case. Any help is greatly appreciated. I can send the file if it makes it easier to understand the issue.
