View Full Version : Make lights flicker?

hey, trying to get into animation, so i've started with a simple particle firework effect. It works great but the lights dont "flicker" along with the firework.
Any ideas how i can do this?

Try using a visibilty track key frame the strengh, or a pramator track and animate the lights brightness.

i wrote a coffee script to do this ages ago, and someone else wanted this... it's on teh front of the renderzone part of my website, called sparks

there are a whole heap o variables in there that you can play around with to get the desired effect. and it was a complete and utter pain... wouldn't be so hard noadays but this will work if you're using v7.

yeah sorry 'bout that... usually my host let's me know if theyr'e going ot take a server down, so i guess something horrible must have happened! (i hope i still have a site when it comes back online :hmm: ) it's only been like that fo a little while so 'm hoping it iwll be up shortly (actually I think they do a backup every 1am for about a quarter of an hour or so).

anyhow i hope when you get it it helps. :)

(edit) Sorry, I just realised that it's only the server that my site is on that's gone down. Bugger is all I can say. But I'm sure it will be back online either later on today or tommorow at the latest (over a days downtime and people start to sue hosts for loss of earning it would seem).:shrug:
