View Full Version : Help Needed!!! Problem Boxes in Final Gather Render

I really hope that one of you rendering gurus can help me. I am in a bit of a panic because of a time crunch.

I keep getting these boxes in my render as seen in the image below and I have no idea of how to get rid of them.

There is displacement on the stone and the problem goes away if I remove the displacement and/or the stone. The problem occurs wether I use satellite or not.

I am using a simple directional light and fg with a ibl node.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

edit: I should note that the boxes move around when changing fg radius / number of rays etc.

I had that problem too, what i did was to import the scene into a new scene, rebuild the displace shader,hope it helps:thumbsup:

thanks slip,

I found out what it was - I set the image filtering of the .iff that was controling the displacment to 0.000. After I set it back to 1.000, every was fine. Whew. =)
