thereal_mayaman 11-20-2002, 08:09 AM hi, ive never done any kind of modeling before (except for that silly donky i made from a plastic cup, straws, elbow maccaroni and glue on sparkles when i was 7) so i was wandering if u guys could direct me to some good tutorials for educationally challenged, and probably bad spelling individuals for maya. or if not any tutorials will do. thanx :)

i cant seem to find anything that will start me from scratch in those links. im looking for one that will explain everything as if u were loading up maya (and ant other 3d package) for the first time in ure life, and will start of by telling u to do somethink like make a simple 3d shape. thanx

Yup the Learning Maya books are excellent. The online docs also take you through a few tutorials and explain things like creating a loft, extruding a face, whatever, in great detail. Always start with the docs.
