This is a personal project I created a few months ago in my spare time. It is a music vid for a track that a buddy and myself conjured up a couple of years back (a studio project cd that was never released).
It gave me an opportunity to play around with some fun effects and create some demo reel fodder.

Created using Cinema 9.1 core and some cool plugins (especially Ditools, StormTracer, Jenna and Fusion Thing). Comped in AE and liberal usage of Zbrush and MotionBuilder.

If any Aussies were watching Rage at about 2:30 a couple of weeks ago you may have seen it :)

(Qt7 29.5mb)

and for those that don't have QT7:

http://www.jamezworld.com/Phat_Llama_sor3.mov

(Qt Sor3 44Mb) The sound quality is worse and the movie size is smaller , so only use if you don't have QT7!

Thanks for the feedback guys!

cgi_dude : not sure exactly what you are wanting a breakdown on, can you be more specific?

If you are referring to the blobby musician characters, they are actually generated via bluescreened footage that is used to instance geometry on planes. This geometry is pushed on the z axis via the luminance of the footage and the result is metaballed into the blobby structure you see. Variations of this technique are used at various stages in the clip.

Hi guys, thanks for the interest:) Now my two sites have both exceeded their monthly bandwidth , so I will have to look into a free hosting option. If anyone could mirror this or let me know where I could host it for free then pleaes let me know! I am on the case...
