Ok...HI!
I am new(I have just registred)but for while been watching the topics,CG works and other stuff on this site...and I can say they are great(the works and the site itself)!I think you are used to that sort of things said to you.But well..I just need to say that.
So that part was some introduction, let's get to the core.I am planing to study(from zero) a #d program let's say it doesn't matter which one,so the main question is what do you say,is it better to study by books,DVDs or even schools and etc.
-PS-
I know that there were a lot of threads with the same type of questions but once agian post
your opinion here.
Yep it was a really big thread so I think you are tired of reading all this boring/or not stuff So I will end here.

Well it really depends on the person, some people need the disipline of school, some people don't, if I were you I would buy a book and a DVD and get started, if you find yourself lagging and not sticking with it, then you probably need school, at least to get you through the tough part, which is the beginning, I can't tell you how many times I almost threw my computer out the window in the beginning, but now I just enjoy it so much, I can hardly tear myself away from it...

P.S.
buying the books and DVD's will never be a waste of money, even if you do go to school...
