I know this is an older thread but this info might help others. Such a program actually does exist, SkinStudio from Stardock. The program is designed especially for skinning windows but you can also make a WMP skin.

But the best way to create a Windows Media Player Skin is by actually doing the coding for it, you can found out how to do that here:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/wmplay10/mmp_sdk/windowsmediaplayerskins.asp?frame=true

within the MSDN Library is a way to create WMP Moblie skins as well.

Ofcourse you could always skin WinAmp too, but like above you will have to do some coding as well:
Modern WinAmp tutorial: http://www.winamp.com/nsdn/winamp/skinning/modern/
Classic WinAmp tutorial: http://www.winamp.com/nsdn/winamp/skinning/classic/

You even have another option by using something like SysMetrix which is a well known and totally safe shareware app. that you can add media player controls to (works through WinAmp). With this you will not have to do any code and it will let you show alot more info as well, very flexable program.

SysMetrix is not the only program like this but at least its a start to get you in the right direction.

Thanks SK Originals for your help :)
the links are great :)

i have some questions if you have an idea about this field:

- what do you think is better to skin for windows media player or winmap?
- do i need to be programmer, or there is a library to use as drag and drop, unfortunetly i am not programmer :(

thanks again
