CGTalk - Cameras / Lights not displayed in Maya 4.5??

View Full Version : Cameras / Lights not displayed in Maya 4.5??

Good evening everybody, got a lil' problem. :surprised

Today I've started working with Maya again and...
suddenly I noticed that none of my lights and cams
was displayed in ANY viewport???
I've searched every preferences and I'm going crazy
over this...

They are there, I can look through them, work with them,
they render as they used to be - but they are not displayed
and it's kinda hard to position a invisible spotlight cone! :D

If anyone knows how to get this solved - please help me,
I NEED my cams / lights.

have you verified that they are checked in your viewports - (Viewport) -> Show-> ...

Yep, everythings turned on - that was the first place
where I looked. :)
Thought that I maybe turned something accidentaly off,
but everythings on and turning off-on doesn't do anything.

Have you tried Display|Show|Cameras or Display|Show|Lights yet?

Yep, didn't solve it :(

Strange... picked all the stuff, exported it and
now the lights are back? In the old file they are
not displayed and in the new file (with the imported stuff)
they are.... weeeeeird.... dont know WHAT it was, but
it seems to be gone...

I keep an eye open if this happens again...
