Hello,

I'm trying to find software that is along the lines of Boujou/Icarus(old school). But I'm looking for it to be free. I know there's an open-source application i ran into not too long ago but havent been able to find it or remember the name since. Anyone know what i'm talking about or can recommend anything?

Thanks in advance.

Voodoo (http://www.digilab.uni-hannover.de/docs/manual.html)?
That's the only other free app that I know of.
Good luck.

once i had to track footage for a music video with voodoo. the results were very different :( when the camera is moving very unregular voodoo is not as stable as other expensive alternatives...i can tell you i sweated blood during the project :(

but in the end i managed to handle it...so give voodoo a try, but donīt expect the best results during the early tryouts...

regards

I ended up just using an evaluation version of pftrack. Did try voodoo though.

Take a look at SynthEyes too. It's more affordable than Boujou. It's $400 and definately worth the money.

You can track any resolution with it, though I found it worked best in 960x540. Trackers are sharp enough, but the footage is not too huge.

It incorperates a good coordinant system on it too.
