Hi

I just made a scene in 3Dsmax4, it a comet raging to earth with an incredible speed. As you have seen in most of the new movies, when something cool happens, the show it almost slow motion, and flip around the cameras :)
I need a simple way to get the similar effect, without having to change the comet speed or something... can it be accomplished ?

That's all for me !

u mean like the matrix sorta camera rotation and time stopage??????????

i guess what u can do is find the place where u want to start rotating and all that stuff, if u want the thing to stop for a sec and u rotate around it, then have a keyframe for that object at the place u wanna start rotating, and copy it (the same frame to lets say 10 frames after, and do all u want to do in this 10 frames that u added..........

not sure if this is the best way to do this, cause i am not that good, but i guess thats how i would go about it....

i suggest u wait for someone with better knowledge....

i guess you need to rescale the time duration for gives a slow motion effects and and put the camera in new angle each freame:

30 fps change to 90 fps (in this new rate the same second with more frames)
and rotate the camera in the 90 frames but when you editing this 90 frames they must be 3 second (30 fps) and no one second with 90 frames.

I guess. when you done tell me, to know if work

There's a free plugin for Max called "Bullet Timer" that does what you want. Try http://www.maxplugins.de
