Hi all

I about to make one wheel. The mag is ready but the tire make me cry. I checked the fallowing tutorial, the thecnic seems to be efficient but It's make no displacement at all. It's really something there that I don't understand but what.

Can someone explain me the process more in details please

Sorry guys to pop this up but I am sticky here. I don't understand what the process to use to make a vraydisplacement modifier and what is the thing called MTD.

Any help or indication will be appreciate

thanks

Start with a UVW map. Put the VRayDisplacment modifier on top and add the displace map into texmap, then a value in amount and shift, happydays :)

for the side of the wheel i would use a bump map... for the rest a displacement. Make material ID's and fiRST use ur displacement map as a diffuse. After if fits use vray displacement and drag the map into displace slot. The only little tricky thing is the connection between bump and displacement should use a gradient at the side of ur dispü. map.

hi louis

MTD is micro triangle displacement
which is a technology that make you add displacement to low poly mesh with the render lookin very detailed . it generates more triangles at rendertime
