Astaroth(a) (http://www.posergallery.com/images/2770.jpg)

Any similarities with a well known Soul Calibur character is not a mere coincidence ;) .

Thank you, AWOL, for hosting my artwork on your Posergallery :) .

Excellent image. Not really got any crit for it, its well constructed, well presented with lots of dynamic content and emotion in the picture. Very nicely done!

Looks pretty cool.

i do not play video games, so maybe my comments are a bit uninformed, but here goes . . .

the jagged/blocky edges everywhere look strange, as if from a lo-res render (i was not sure from your post if this is a 3d figure that was touched up in photoshop, or if it is just photoshop)

the hand gripping the weapon really bothers me, just something about how the fingers are wrapping around the handle just does not look correct. i have a difficult time looking away from it to enjoy the rest of the work. i realize you have taken a really difficult choice of a pose with a really strange perspective, so congrats on taking on that kind of a challenge!

the fact that all the edges at the silouette of the figure are smooth (i mean where objects come together) is strange. for instance, where the clothing meets the skin there should be a bump of some sort or edge right?

lens flares?

i have not had the guts to post anything yet myself . . . hehe, so keep up the good work, and if i get enough courage one of these days you can crit some of my work.

I have to agree, it looks like the weapon is going through the hand forming a fist instead of the hand wrapping around the weapon.

More subdivision is needed. Nice render style.

I really appreciate your comments and input about the flaws you pointed out; though I won´t be altering the image (I was trying to just get a fanboy image outta my head so I could move on, so it was really really rushed, hence the defects you noticed), I´ll be more carefull in the future with the artwork touch ups before presenting them to people. :)

You can find the original sketch over which I Photoshopped the image attached bellow. :)

i really like the drawing much better!!!

wow!!

it is strange in art sometimes ya know, you start out with a sketch with all of these powerful lines. but you need to be careful when you 'clean' it up and 'fix' it so that you do not lose all of that great drawing quality.

love the drawing, really great. if you can transfer that kind of feeling and power into your photoshop stuff that would be extremely cool. not sure how, even with a wacom it just is not the same as that feel a person might get from drawing on paper.
