CGTalk - .dcr - .avi/.mpeg

I want to convert a few standalone animations (created using macromedia director) into avi
(or mpeg) video format that can be burnt on a CD. The files have the .dcr extension. Does someone know how to do it ?

(Am sorry I don't think this query fits here but I don't know where to post it either...)
