Hello everyone! Well this is my first time posting on the 2d artwork section of cgtalk. This is an image that was done completely in photoshop version 6.0 . And I used a mouse to draw it with. One day Im gonna try to buy a stylus but for now all I have is a mouse..This image still isnt finished yet...Behind these characters I want to have an entrance to a fun house...Kinda like your step right up..step up....Looking at it now I might need to add some more shadow to the clown..But I might wait till I start the background to do some more finishing touches...

Bold use of colour. :surprised

I think it would look better if the clown had some legs. And perhaps some atmospheric lighting. Otherwise, cool.

Hey thanks everyone for your comments. And I guess the mood I was going for worked..I just hope I can keep that mood and bring it in to the background...

Farquar: do you have an example of atmospheric lighting? Oh and about the legs I'll think about that.(depends on the background on how I crop the image)..

my only crit is, it seems like you need to darken in the dark areas.....it just seems..........unfinished.

im not saying add black lines......but it just doesnt seem to be solid, kinda like the color work that would be under an inking.

I think if you went and added some harder lines into it, like how they are in the face it would look a LOT better!! the face looks great and completed, but the rest kinda looks like the phase before being finished........great work though!

Excellant character, incredible that this was done with a mouse.......must be optical! GET A WACOM!!!!!! its a whole new world!!

It may be a cliche' from horror films, but usually low angle lights, with a strong backlight. So the light source is coming from below is what I mean. It would be tricky to do though.

Actually, I think the image is almost there, just needs something extra, perhaps a suggestion of a background behind the characters.

Hey thanks again for the replys....

Gentle Fury: You have a good eye. yeah its kinda incomplete..Im wanting to add some more shadow in there..But you where right I used an optical... Yeah I've tied a WACOM and yes they kick ass!..Just no money extra to get one right now...Hopefully soon I can get one.... cause this way of drawing saves the mess of using paints...

farquar: Yeah Im hoping to put a fun house in the background. Like your step right up...step right up.... and enter the amazing fun house of doom....(something to that effect)....Maybe then I'll put more lighting on it...But yeah this image isnt done yet.....

This is wierd but I thought about this today....Im left handed but I use my mouse to use the computer....But this image was created mainly with my right hand.....crazy huh.....
