View Full Version : Dribble Shader

Hi,
I'm trying to create a realistic dribble shader, but the result is not convincing.
All i reach is a kind of water.
I want to render it in Maya Software, so i can't use SSS.
What can I do? Any suggestion, link or shader network :thumbsup: ?

The dribble is for a kind of monster's mouth. In fact it's a bedroom tranformed into a big mouth.

It's a bit hard to make out from the picture what you are aiming for. But if it is some kind of wet look I'd do two things.

First, play around with specularity. Basically you want a hard, bright highlight for wet surfaces. And second, play around with the surface sampler-node and ramps to simulate what happens when you a: view the surface from different angels and b: light strikes the surface from different angles.
