now... that is kinda funny really.
A kid who is potting a normal tree and trying to bend it like a bonsai!
just imagine the look of the neighbour... really funny!
Er, that is what was intended right?:)

Nice sculpted organic shape there. How many polys? This thing sparse enough to use a lot on a scene? Like a forest?

This is another.......at least to me favorite of this challenge,one of the better works thus far. It's early,but I like where I think it's headed.very good concept stal3fish.........:thumbsup:
Perhaps a little adjusting or tweaking to the roots or branches where they meet with the tree itself is needed,but just a minor crit.
But all in all I think it looks very nice,and has a lot of potential.Keep goin ,I hope to see more stal3fish,nice job thus far..............:applause: :beer:
Hey dude, don't you want to move to joburg so that i can learn off hand how to do things properly? :p
Fantastic work there, looking forward to seeing more soon.

Hey very clever idea here, and if this is your first go at Maya, i'm impressed! I know its done, but I'm just being nitpicky. The tree seems a bit like its dying, or it was trimmed waayyy too much, theres only a few leaves on it. This would looks so cool with a loot of leaves and little branches. Also the way he is postitioned makes it look a bit like hes trying to climb up the side rather than trying to bend the branch. But still its very nice, and the tree trunk looks sweet! :) good job!

hey rye thx, yeah i see what u mean about him "climbing" originally he was facing the other way
here-> http://www.libravision.co.za/temp2/render05.jpg
i wanted to arch his back more, but i deleted the history, sooooo i guess not. the leaves, well lets just say it's heavly pruned :D
