Here's the "Sound machin logo" for you to destroy........."
(yes, sound machin, which reffers to macho music)
It's actually 3d, Made with Maya and final cut. I made it for a friend of mine's company.

Please let me know if it sucks......."

hey betito,

I love broadcast animation! it's very cool!
i definitely like the concept!
Transitions from the volume control to the final logo and the girl falling into place is pretty sweet.
logo looks nice. did you make that? I love the red. The yellow, a bit subtle. It works with the final logo, not so much when you use it with the volume animation.

Maybe have more intense colours for that sequence? I know you're trying to use the palette of the logo but I feel as this part of the animation is begging to 'shock' you and grab some attention. It's a bit too 'quiet' as with the yellow is very muted, and maybe use a colour that you can represent the volume of the actual graphic. A bit more 'punchy'.

I can't say much about the animation part since I'm not an expert, but I do feel it's got something strange happening. unless your intent is for her to be a 'marionette-like' feel to it...that might explain her initial position at the beginning of the film.. but i am still kinda of confused why she's in that position.
possibly the rhythm and speed of when the logo morphs from the volume levels into its final look appears a bit slow or could be a bit smoother. If you had music playing along with it though ( i couldn't hear any) maybe i might be wrong and may work with the music you choose.

Hope that helps!

Thanks a lot Jamuck for your observations, well the idea behind the girls initial pose was to think that she was dancing and when the music record ended she walks towards it to play it again. But well I wasn't so sure on how to begin her performance and I thought about a sort of dancing pose like this.
I didn't design the logo, I just animated it, and yes I tried to respect the logo's basic colors to keep the flow of it, and the only thing I'm not so sure about keeping is the volume leds, because as you said it doesn't look so smooth.

And yes there's still no music in it, the friend I did this for is a music engineer and he's gonna do that part to see if it all fits fine, and if it doesn't we'll figure out a different aproach to this funky logo.

thanks again...."
