this animation was done for my character developement class at AAU. the criteria for the assignment was to have your character enter the room and open the window. it was intended as an exercise in character arcs (start off in one mood/feel and end in another).

i'm not overly happy with this animation, as i started hating my idea when it was too late to change it... oh well.

here it is, though (http://www.chumwad.com/uridian/final_weasel_11.3.05_divx.avi)
(2.22mb Divx)

Lovely creature! I adore all warm blooded animals.

At the end when the house owner approaches the protagonist should be more afraid. Make the eyes more wide the mouth more open/contorted showing his fear reaching it's apex before he falls out of the window.

If you hand draw every frame, my respects goes to you for the awesome job. I would only attempt such thing with vector based characters.

heh, i know the feeling. Hate, annoyance and 'am i ready yet??!'-frustration that the idea takes too long to realize. When i can find a little success elsewhere during such an undertaking it gives me willpower to continue.

thanks, i'm glad you guys like it... :)

sogun, i'm also glad you could tell what was going on without me having to say it... :) i agree with you, i struggled with getting more and more terror out of him each revision i made, but alas, it could still use some more. it always can, though, right? heh. and yes, all hand drawn...
