Hi,
I'm working on a Quantel eQ and on AE using HD dpx 10bit log files for a feature film. I'm used to AE because I've been using it for a few years now, and because it's quite limited for compositing/color correction i tryed out DF5.
DF5 seems to be a lot more powerful than AE, but the speed using the inferface/tools etc is a lot slower than AE, like Combustion is slower than AE.
Is it normal as it is a more highend tool ?
I'm using an AMD 64 3000+ / 2GB ram / 2x74gb SATA raptor RAID0 / Radeon 9600.
A tool like AE works great on it. Even to do a ram preview of a raw plate in DF it's not very fast.
By the way is it possible to use my blackmagic decklink to monitor my work ? I saw nowhere a preference to specify the use of a preview monitor.
Thanks for your answers.
(and sorry for my poor english)
Julien
