View Full Version : Character height
Shonner 11-12-2005, 07:15 AM When modeling your female body proportions, how many heads high do you prefer to use? 7 heads, 7.5 heads, 8 heads high? Just curious.
Provide a guide if you like.

This female I'm working on is 8 heads high.

I could be wrong, but I think I read on some anatomy book that the female is bout 7 heads tall.
Of course, then you got your ideal female (like the way they do in animes), where the legs are much longer than real-life proportions. So in the end, it depends on if you want realistic or ideal.
Hope that helped.

The Leonardo da Vinci's Vitruvio's man is 8 heads tall and is commonly used as a reference. But I agree with Elucid that it is relative.

I thought I'd use 8 heads so the figure would have a more heroic or fashion model proportion.

Yes, it's a good idea when you are looking for that kind of look and/or for a stylized effect.
