Stahlberg's work is just too good. I love his Pippi Longstockings sketch and the simplicity (and effectiveness) of his entry for "A royal family". It's a pity he doesn't participate more often.

I love the pippi sketch :D
If I were to pick a non-sketch aswell, it'd pick "Jealosy". I just love the amount of detail in it, and its allmost not noticable at a first glance.

Thanks! :)
Oooh, now I feel so guilty for not sketching anything for such a looong time...
My pathetic excuse: I'm too busy. But I'll try to get back into it again, I promise...
As for sketches of my own I like, they are rare because I usually start with something ugly and only when it's almost finished do I start to be happy with it... I kind of like this one though.

edit:
I don't know why your search didn't work, I tried the same thing and it worked both for the DSG forum and the 2D Finished Gallery:

Ha, if I had a nickel for every time I referred folks to your "Jealousy" tutorial...:)
Amazing work, of course! You have a very unique color scheme which is instantly recognizable ~ something with a very specific light blue / orange / magenta which bears of the Stahlberg. As always, very inspirational!
Cheers, :)

I suck a searches so I will just say which DSG image I liked the best - the businessman, and the stoneage dude total thumbs up on that one!
Incidentally Stahlberg, your image "one last time" is the first image I remember from CGTalk. It must have make quite an impression, because I have been coming back ever since.
Cheers,

Could someone please post a link or re-post a bigger version of the Pippi Longstocking piece? I did a search for it and the version from the "stories/legends..." thread seems to be missing.
I really like the look of that one Steven, and want to see the detail, if possible.
Thanks.

Cool thanks! Yes lots of stuff that isn't on my site went 'missing' like that when I moved everything to the CGSociety server... so I uploaded it and a few other sketches again, here's Pippi (the context - we were supposed to illustrate legends and stories from our own countries): :)
