I was wondering if I could get some input from someone with the LW /Pointoven/Max Workflow experience. The Point Oven website pretty much didn't give info on LW/MAX integration. From their LW-XSI video you can import LWO into XSI with all the morph targets and surface names.

My aim is to model in LW including morph map creation and them import the lwo into max for skinning/animation. The animation will be baked to lightwave for rendering. I know about the animation baking part but is is possible to import lwo files into max jusyt like in XSI?

Yeah, I know I could export obj but once I import back into LWO it loses the surface attribute and UV coordinates which isn't helpful since I have to apply the textures in LW before rendering.

If animating your LW characters with Max's Character Studio and then rendering back in LW is what your looking for, then check out my "CharacterStudio to LW Tutorial" linked below. The process uses the free "FBX" plugin which allows for bone editing and other adjustments, if needed, back in LW. Check it out.

By the way your short film is well done.
