View Full Version : Aligning multiple objects...
JM_JM 11-11-2005, 06:56 PM How can I align multiple objects at the same time to the same coordinate?
EX:
Object_1, Object_2, Object_3 are to be aligned in the Y coordinate at 100mm.
Thanks you

There was an article on Spinquad about something simillar, but I belive you can use this plugin (it depends on the scene/objects)
http://www.pepperchrome.com/Tools.html
Or you can use dynamics in Layout with a collision plane.
Or you cacn use rest on ground (F3) in modeler, but that doesn't usually work if objects are poitioned in different hights.
I don't think Modeler has a tool for it...

Hmm.
If it's just for aligning and not for animation, fire up the scene editor, select the items you want to align, and change the Y coordinate value in the lower left hand corner of layout.
If for modeller, I think that "Set Value" is your best bet.

Or you could use modeler. Use "rest on ground" without centering on all objects so they all sit on the same ground-plane (be it X, Y or Z), and take it from there.
