Hey Nicolas!

I just saw this. the best tutorials I've found on UV mapping are (regardless of software used):

Texturing a polygonal head model by Chris Kniffen (http://67.15.36.49/ffa/tutorials/maya/chris_kniffen/chris_kniffen1.asp)

"Creating and modeling a character" by Julian Jeremy Johnson-Mortimer (http://67.15.36.49/team/Tutorials/julian_creating_character/julian_creating_character_01.asp)

and without a doubt Levitateme's tricks and tips: Texturing: laying out Uv's (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=76206)

UV mapping for most people is difficult/slow to grasp at first but when you do it's a breeze later on. Doing it right takes some time, but done properly adds a very important dimension to your model.
