Hello,

First post here! Hope im posting the right way!?! Anyway, below is my latest work in 3D. Modelled in Max. Took me about a week to finish him. Tried to make the texture as realistic as possible. 3219 faces. Character Studio for animation.

Any crits or comments would be great......:)

looks good i dont mean to be negative just take my comments as one person to another. in fact i am definetly less skilled than you just starting out myself with the 3D thing.

my only critique is some of the anatomy is inaccurate, around the delts is pretty thick on the torso (might be the posture more than the model), and the length of the shoulder to elbow is long(actually looking at it more closely its more that the forearms are too short), the legs are short compared to the body, escpecially as in muscular people artists tend to overexagerate this and the thighs are pretty thick.

3219? seems like an awful lot of polys for what it is.

I have to agree on that one...

Hi Hellbum,

Not a bad start, but Scuba's right -- the anatomy is off, visible in the chest and the quads in the legs.

"Bridgman's Guide to Drawing from Life"
"Dynamic Figure Drawing" - Burne Hogarth
"Anatomy for Artists"

These are good books, but also might want to enroll in a figure drawing class at a nearby community college - those help a lot, too.

Keep it up!
-Joe
