Does anyone know of a MEL script which can be used to import a tab-deliminated text file (from Excel)? This data comes frm accident surveys and represents the motion (in XYZ) of a vehicle prior to crash. Applied to a model it recreates the accident (with tweaking). I know of a MAXScript that does this but was hoping a MEL script existed as well. Any help would be appreciated.

thats sounds interesting. i am looking for something equal too.which data contains this file exactly? how did the coordinates come into the excel file? pls tell more.

is it possible to convert it in a maya asci?
