Position Summary: Understands the core game engine and has a working knowledgeof everything tech, as well as any and all file formats used in a game. Has anaffinity for designing and implementing user interfaces. Spends most of his/hertime supporting and coding for artists. Streamlines the artist pipeline so thatthey may produce content for the game as quickly and easily as possible.
Essential Job Functions:• Constructs file formats for game engine
• Supports existing tool applications
• Implements Windows-based tools for art pipeline and asset management
• Implements platform-based tools for art pipeline
• Implements plug-ins for 3rd party content creation applications
• Understand and follow a task schedule that is provided by the Lead
• Coordinates with Lead to communicate scheduling and progress information
• Remains stationary for long periods of time while working in front of acomputer
• Manipulates a keyboard, mouse, and/or other input device
• Interacts and communicates effectively with management on both a project andstudio level
• Performs other similar or related duties as necessary
Experience/Skills:• 3-6 year of industry experience
• Self-motivated
• Good communication skills
• Enjoys designing/developing interfaces
• Ability to multi-task and to adapt easily to change
• Visual C++ (and/or .NET), object-oriented and ANSI C desired
• Managed C++/C# experience (. NET Framework) desired
• 3D Studio MAX SDK desired
• Win32 SDK desired• MFC desired
• 3D Programming desired
Education/Certification/Licensing: Associate’s (AA) degree from an accredited2-year college or university or equivalent industry experience
