Hi Guys ,
How do you guys set your reference material when modelling.
In maya , you can set it up with image planes , which move and zoom with the camera unlike XSI's rotoscope. and the object display (wire\shaded) is independent of the image planes.
A friend suggested making 2 grid planes and mapping the image as texture on them , which brings me to my next question:
I make 2 grids and map the texture and put them in a seperate layer, but then when i start modelling and turn wireframe on it also turns the reference layer wireframe on therefore disabling the texture view. I found out about custom display , but going to the display menu and switching the settings everytime I want to turn the object wireframe on and off is a bit tedious.
I would love to know how you guys set up your references.
Thanks very much in advance.
Ali
