View Full Version : Pixelize Render effect
djlane 11-08-2005, 08:51 PM I am aware that it is possible to create new render effects with Script, and I was wondering if a scripted render effect to create pixelization effects would be pushing it too far?
By pixelization effects I mean making a rendering look like it was generated on spectrum or commodore 64. The Junior Senior music video for Move your Feet is a good example.
If the answer is yes has any body got any advice on how I should go about it.
Thanks for reading

I got all excited then!! I went to the maxscript help expecting to find an example of how to write a pixelization render effect.
Is there a particular section I should be looking at?I assume this meams its not beyond the scope of a scripted render effect.

Why you don't jsut render it out in a small size and blow it up? The ratio between the input and output size is the amount of a pixelation.
Script somethinge that blows up your Frame Buffer, if this is possible.
