Good. That's the point :P DP's speech bubble was supposed to 'spoil' the moment... If it's glaring and hurting to the eyes, and out of place... it's how DP would have wanted it... :D ok. That's my explanation.

Looks great. The next one will take 3 days. :)
You should make the speech bubble more like a thinking cloud/bubble. Painted of course. And you should write the letters with same style.

valkyrien --> Word. ;)
shaykai --> thanks. I live to serve :D
bigbad --> The next pic I do will take as many days or hours as it needs. and what I COULD do is take your thoughts into consideration... and remember them the next time I do another picture. Thanks for the suggestions. :P (btw, thats a cute signature u got!)

I think you can push this so much farther. Since your drawing talent is headed more towards the Anime style. I think you should redraw this more like that. You are trying to make it too much like the DP in the comics, and it is hurting you style. For the crit, it looks like his arms are too short. On his right arm especially, the forearm is really short. The actual forms are really well colored, everything looks sculpted good, just the proportions look a little off.

Neee.... That's the most constructive thought's I've gotten so far... Arigato, dmcgrath-san...
well... at least I tried to do something different from my usual... was not that successful huh? hai... I didn't notice his weird arm until i was done... by then it was too late... Redraw it? I think I will. :) Thanks again!
(gasp! I actually got stars! :eek: )

Yeah, judging from the responses you get, we all love your stuff.
One thing you didnt say was how was this piece made. It looks like pencils and maybe markers. Am I right? Or was it all computer?:beer:

hehe... Oh yah. I forgot that... It's entirely done in Painter 7. The brush I used for this is called 'captured bristles'... or something like that... It's also the first pic I ever did without outlining it first! yay! :D

The textballoon really doesn't suit the image.
Maybe if you wrote the lines somewhere else without a ballon or something. Below the horizontal line, under his hand
