nice models, nice texturing, the only thing that lets it down, and its a small thing, is the edging on the fat guys waistcaot, looks a tad low res, other than that pure nice.

i really like the ruddy comlection of the fat guy, i come from the welsh hills, and i know plenty of guiys like this, bet he swigs on home brew moonshine, behind the chicken shed.

Very impressive work Ancient!...especially since those are Ps2 screens...I know all too well the restrictions we face on Ps2 and to see such rich and well modelled characters makes me real happy...and to see you've posted them here makes me even more happier....solid work man!!...and Congrats on the release...

Very well done m8

I really adore your texture work, I dunno but I think you should watermark your textures, since they are for commercial use but anyway good work

I always enjoy seeing other game art. Gives me inspiration and tips into how I can approach my next pieces here at work. Hopefully, I will be able to slap up goodies from TES4: Oblivion soon.

Keep up the killer work. Hope to play Gun sometime soon. *cough*crunchtime*cough* :(

Nice work u got there

Keep it up...

* Only one thing, u got that "ps2 screen" tag, but those textures look too high for a ps2 version! Saw some ps2 screens at IGN and doesn't look like the same...

Nice texture work!! I didn't see it listed any where, but what is the texture size? and what is the poly count on the mods?

What 3D app were the meshes modeled in?

Agree with all the previous posters - very nice work. I especially like the horses; lower-poly game assets tend to rely more heavily on proper poly optimizaton and good texture work.. Think this was more than accomplished here. Cheers!

Showing amazing art doesn't hurt sales, IMHO.

Yeah, that bites! I wanted to show friends your work and then the images were gone! I'd think it's yet another form of PR for the game, not a detriment to the Marketing effort, to show even more people how cool it looks. Sigh......

Here is a decent review of the game by one of the few respected UK online games sites:

agreed, in fact i think everygame should come with an art book. i almost bought the ages of empires 3 collectors edition just for the art book. still trying to get my hands on the God of War artbook....
