Sr Artist/Art Director

Responsibilities:
* Establish schedules, goals and expectations for the art group during pre-production.
* Direct the artists in achieving and meeting those goals.
* Direct the creation of concept art for various parts of the game.
* Ensure ALL elements from the art group meet the Game Director’s standards and expectations, as well as manage, schedule and monitor the approval process for all elements with the Game Director.
* Direct the creation of all art within the game, as well as problem solve any and all production related glitches that arise over the course of development.
* Direct and work with the Art Leads in making decisions that affect the art groups, in addition to managing and monitoring the Art Leads to ensure information and direction is being communicated properly.
* Set goals and expectations for various production related deadlines through to planning and managing those goals to successfully meet deadlines.
* Ensures ALL elements involving the art group have been implemented.
* Reviews all bugs and monitors the successful corrections of them.
* Regular, open and consistent communication with Programming and Tech Art groups concerning all art related elements, including rigging and implementation issues.
* Manage the time tables from concept art creation through implementation.
Qualifications:
* Ability to communicate with, lead, manage, train and mentor the art staff as well as work with the other Leads.
* Minimum 4 years experience in the gaming industry and 7 to 10 years overall art and art direction responsibility/managerial experience.
* Managed an art team through a complete production cycle, preferably of 2 plus years in production length.
* Ability to integrate art needs into a game design document and technical design review.
* Proficiency with asset management and project management software.
* Proficiency with Maya, Max, PhotoShop.
