I posted an earlier version of this a while back,
I've finally had some more time to add all the details I wanted to it.
It's pretty much finished, but I still really want to know what people think.
c&c are welcome.

Very cool.

You've kept a very militaristic style, and gotten creative, but you haven't gone too over the top. I especially like the "ranking" texture system you've got as well as the way the boot armour works together.

great work Confracto you have some cool topology on your model, also like BigJon had stated your character design is cool, and I don't see anything that's really worth criting

If I have any crits at all, it's on the textures. Dirty them up a bit add some grime or at least some ware.

Very nice- I really like the really clean, smooth look you've got going with it. I guess you could grunge it up a bit if you want, but I like how it looks as it, especially with the first pic- the shadows give it a cool, 'graphic' look.

The only (super nitpicky, obviously) thing I'd suggest is changing the texture on the [presumably] wooden parts of the gun- something about the monotony of the color doesn't read as entirely believable to me.

the gun is loosly based off of the newer british enfeild.
it's smooth brown plastic, which is never gonna look better being what it is...
I'd love suggestions on this, please!
oh, and here's some more pics, a closeup, and a back/diffuse flat.
