Nexus Productions is one of the UK’s leading commercial production companies that has fostered a global reputation for creativity. We work predominantly in animation across television, commercials, music videos, short films and title sequences. We are looking to recruit this key person within our studio.
Job Description:
Working closely with our CG Supervisor and artists, you will troubleshoot 2D and 3D issues; research, implement and maintain scripts and plug-ins for 3D Studio Max; and provide solutions for managing data within the studio. You will be responsible for maintaining and monitoring render farm performance and server troubleshooting.
You will keep the company informed on all the latest relevant technology and upgrades and assist in strategically planning the studio’s future.
You will also directly participate in R&D project teams.
Requirements:
You must have a strong programming and 3D maths background with excellent knowledge of C++ and scripting. A solid understanding of 2D, 3D and visual effects is also essential.
You must be wholly comfortable with highly technical subjects and able to communicate complex concepts in a clear and organized manner.
You must be able to demonstrate a proven track record in the development and maintenance of animation and visual effects pipelines. You must have at least two years’ experience in a senior level TD or relevant IT administrative post.
Salary: According to experience.
