you really dont know what you are missing. i actually use this thing for modeling more than games.

once u have all the buttons layed out and memorized, the speed improvement is amazing. Now, very rarely do i have to take my hand off of the mouse when modeling ( i am not just clicking hte commands i want).

ppl, you should seriously check it out, i am falling in love with this beast.

www.belkin.com and it should be on main page (pc gamers choice, or something like that)

hmm I am intrigued.

Can you tell me a bit more about how you use it , how is your layout for example , which buttons did you map to it?

i tried that.. i found that i had to reach a bit more than i liked to hit the keys

here is another suggestion.. just an idea :)

but i am probably just picky, i would love to have kept it =)

it was very useful, but for my hand i just didn't like how it felt

what do you take your hand off the mouse for ordinarily?? (when modelling)

since my hands are kinda small, some key combos are kinda hard to do, that is one reason, and another being, that when i am modeling, i try to keep my left hand in one spot so i am near my central key area and i havae to use my right one to hit the buttons closer to the mouse hand. and i like not having to move my hand all the way across the keyboard for buttons, i just have them all at mah fingers.

and, i dont really have to reach at all for any of the button/ buttno combos.

and you can make macros for those multi button hitting hotkeys

[edit]i am gonna have to make a low res pic of it, cant find decent image host

ok, here is the config layout. you can program every button to what you need (like making macros for button combo hotkeys) and those 3 arrows are different shift modes you can have, you can set them to toggle[on until turned off] or you can have it as however long you hold it down.

really is a ggreat periph

cool man i just checked it out at the store and it fits my hand perfect, so i've placed an order on Amazon. Thanks for the tip! BTW the latest drivers let the D-Pad act as more keys

ah noisewar. you saved my life, i am soo happy that you told me about that update, i was wondering why you didnt have the diff shift functionalities to the d pad, becaue if you could, my speed/workflow would become better, now that that has happened, i think i will start using it to play counterstrike now. b/c i used to be cramped for [key]space when playing cs, and the shift keys with the buttons were too uncomfortable for a fast pased game like that, and i didnt use d pad in it, and now i can have the right amount of space and play with speed!!Shibby!!!

thanks
