View Full Version : Character : Jumping Ninja Girl
Well, still trying to improve my 2d drawing and coloring skills.
Here's my last picture I've just finished, just a gril jumping by night, with some magical lights flowing from her hands :p

I like it. Better than what I can draw :)
You should create a circular motion blur on the curved light blue light (Or apply more guassian blur). To convey her fast speed. (just a suggestion)
Some how her left hand seems funny. Probably in an awkward position.
But keep up the good work. Tell me when it's finished.

hey, that's nice coloring that is! I really like the way u did her face and the motion blur... I think you are improving! ho ho ho !
just a few nit picking... with her back and head in that position, i don't think her arms can actually go all the way up there. It's physically impossible... unless you're really flexible... and her hands would be pointing backwards instead of forwards... try it out yourself. I think you'll get the idea. Just don't get a cramp! :D
And I think the blue light coming from her hands collides with her motion... I just feel weird looking at it... it doesn't flow too well... Like Rukuwa said, blur it more... or maybe don't make it so long... or try to do the motion yourself and get an idea of how the arms swing... then transfer that into the drawing :)
her fringe would also be flowing backwards cos she's moving forward. And take note of her right lower-leg. make it less curvy in front so it doesn't look like her leg will snap in two...
hehe... other than that, you could possibly add some buildings in the background or near her, so we know where she is jumping from and to.
:D yay! Hope I wasn't being too... er.. picky. May you continue to improve in ur work Najd!

Great work Najd! love the colours and drawing!
my only crit would be her fringe. I think in that position, her fringe shoild pull back more..

hahahaahaa, oh i needed that. Dude thats awesome!! Although I didn't know that ninja's wear brand-name clothing. What I do know is that they always wear black, so they cannot be seen.
Great concept though!:wavey:
Hey Thx you all guys
Rukuwa : In fact there's a Radial blur on the lights.. maybe not enough :p , and yeah, maybe I'll change the hands angles.
PsychedelicMind : Huh... the neck position, let's say she's a ninja ? :p well, It's true, that's impossible, but I liked the position, I'll try to change that head angle :) . The lights weren't that way on the beggining, and I really don't know how to do them. I'll try what you say, just dance in the middle of the room with my hands turning  .
The legs... jumping like that will be more difficult for me :)
In the beggining I wanted to do a forest in the background, have to work on it, maybe I'll try with buildings.
And you were not peaky att all, thanks for the comments, really.
dark_lotus : At first it wasn't a ninja, just named it that way :)
I'll do an all black outfit to see how it feels.
Thanks you all for your comments !!
Will update that as soon as it's finished.
