Hi, I'm wondering if there's a way to write an expression so a TP emitter can look at a group of different geometry objects and randomly emit them so it's not all the same object. Is this possible?

Hi,
take a look at the TP Multishape Emitter preset for this.

Where can I find this preset? I've searched the documentation for TP and can't find anything on multishape. Is this preset a combination of other TP nodes?

When you ar eon a pre 9.5 version you can find it tin the Object Library, in 9.5 start the content browser and check the Thinking Particles library. The presets are not described in the manual. They are usualy Null Objects with an Xpresso tag and User data fields to control the functions.
Cheers
