View Full Version : Water/Ocean shader jitter

Below is my first test animation with an ocean fly-over, however there's a lot of jitter on the water in the distance, too much for an acceptable render really. I rendered with MR, i was hoping it would be better than the software renderer, but I don't think it helped much:

In the archives I found others were having problems with ocean shader jitter but no-one had a solution... any tips are welcome. :)

this has been fixed. :p

i was actually rendering with maya, hence the jitter. MR was much smoother as expected. :blush:

i only rendered 20 frames to test MR, i will post the full version time permiting.

heh the downside of rendering with MR with my ocean setup is it takes about 4 X longer per frame.... but nevermind its not a rush job.
