Polygon Modeling, I: Basics
Polygon Modeling, II: Subdivision Surfaces
Kinematics, I: Skeletons
Kinematics, II: Forward Kinematics
i have one question tho.. the Poly Subdivision dvd.. does that cover SubD's?
i thought SubD's were in a class of their own, or is it just subdivided polygons?
but awesome news :)
put me down for nurbs 2 and 3 next =)

Man.. I really need to pick these up. All I have are the Intro and Nurbs I.. SubDs are Subdivided Polys, its all the same thing, in maya at least.

the poly II video covers the subd modeling issues as i remember, but write a mail to the crew and ask it for sure!

i think i'll do that =)
i do know that many of the same tools are used for SubD modeling as for Polygon modeling and such.. soo.. maybe thats why they only dedicated a single dvd to SubD's.. that.. or they are really busy.. which i wouldn't doubt either =)

They also picked up Jeremy Engleman as an instructor. YAY! Heh they need to get Richard VanderWende now ;) (production designer for Aladdin and Riven). Then they would have some of the best names in the business.
These are exciting times for Gnomon. Weee!

hey guys.. i have some questions.. i am in college right now and getting a traditional art degree,
pre college days i was always interested in digital effects and computer art but had no exposure.... having been in college a few years now, i really have gotten more exposure and really would like to investigate a career in this. But i am very far along and have little time left before my tradtional degree graduation
now i recently came across the gnomon instructional place... and want to now if that "in your opinions" would be a good route to go after i graduate from my college.. i have experience with max but and photoshop alot but dont really have much to show becuase of college work
?
sorry if this doesnt really fit in the thread but the gnomon instructional videos spark my memory to bring this up. :]

i start the gnomon certificate program in april, from what i see they are the best in the field of maya and visual effects since they are specialized in that only. pick up the videos or dvds and see if their training methods suit your taste.
i think they are great
