i finally was brave enough to start modelling my 1st car (some time ago i tried that chevy tut, but got too frustrated and never tried anything like a car since...) i know its a bit.. umm... newbieish, but everyone's gotta be a newbie sometime.. :wip: so..here it is, sorry bout the res, this should be enough for you to see the basic details...


and... how should i go about modelling the windshield..? and what kind of spoiler can i put on, as the back looks really bland.. i'll put more shots up as i progress

You should maybe make the toyish look a feature by making a surrounding like Scalectrix maybe? i dunno, or else try to reduce the curved corners of the windows. I dunno ;)

I think the back looks good - the wheel arch is nice, maybe you could get the front wheel arch to not dip in towards the centre of the car and then it would look as good.

Did you use a single mesh or attempt to do it in bits?

ty for all your comments, i did everything as a single mesh really, all hypernurbs, the wheels i did ages ago, they took about the same time to do as the rest of the car :shrug:

Not bad, but you should add definition around the windshields and frame.

I really would like to know how you achieved the HDRI in C4D. Are you telling your secret?
