I'm trying to guage the level of interest in an instructional video that walks you through the features of Messiah's renderer. I would most likely include the "basics" through to some of Messiah's more unique rendering features and be about a half an hour in length.

seeing this poll makes me happy wegg..very happy lol

Sure. Go for it!

It would also be awesome/helpful if it includes stuff about shading in messiah too (nodes, texturing, etc.) -- nothing too deep. Basics would be fine as long as it is related to rendering.

I would definitely buy in a heartbeat (if paypal is available :D)

You talked me into it. . . I'm just trying to see if it would really be worth it.

I agree with shadowfork. Give (sell) us everything!!!
I'd be interested in knowing more about these various shaders and how to use them.

Wegg, you might just be surprised how many people out there wouldn't mind the basics... especially when they really can't get them anywhere else (exception: Joe Cosman).

I'll buy it. I haven't had time to do more than some really basic tests with the renderer, but eventually I'd like to do everything in messiah instead of going back and forth with Lightwave.

Hi Billy,
I'm definitely interested. Have to say though that I have the feel that you might get undercut by new releases and Taronic impulses. He's already mentioned that new basic shader elements are on the way. So - I'd be wary on that point as a purchaser of your tutorials as well.... That said, yeah - I'm interested. Even with glowing armpits, your Baker is cool dough!

Yea I'd probably have to wait till that comes out and I have had time to digest the changes. But it shouldn't be too long now. I hope.

why wait ?? whos really knows what is comming and how long it will take ?

I say do one or many for the current and if needed do more or new ones for the
comming one,,,

This sounds like a real cool idea.... even a demo tutorial to get our feet wet would be great to help the beginners like myself.

Sounds great William, you have my vote too.

Us messiah users are hungry for any new messiah knowledge.
The stuff with Thomas' AON shaders was very helpful too so a follow on from that would be great. I still pretty much use LW for my rendering at the moment.

As much as we all would love to see it, I get the feeling we wont see any video tuts from Taron. The man is just too busy and has other priorities.

thanks in advance

Bill.

Hey Wegg, is that a common reference scene or something? It looks exactly like the one in the FPrime examples.

That was my goal. I want to try and demonstrated Messiah's speed and the best way to do that is to re-create some common scenes used to demonstrated the features of other packages.
