Greetings to all!

I want to build the character Jack Skellington from TNBC on 3ds Max 7. I was wondering how should I proceed? What would be the best possible way to build him? All opinions and thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

I have no idea what you are talking about. How about a link to clear things up a bit.

Jack is quite easy to model. His limbs (arms and legs) are incredibly cylindrical, so I'd start from there. You could use a cylinder for the body, and just tweak the points around until you get the correct torso shape. The head is just a sphere. The ripped "tail" piece of his coat could either be modeled as you see it, or with a texture with alphas. What I mean by the second option is creating a flat rectangular plane that extends off of his bum. When you texture it, you make sure to create an alpha layer. You texture the tail flaps as though they are flat. Any area of the flat plane that don't have anything textured on them are see through (as though that part of the model does not exist). That's how they make shrubbery in some of the older video games.
