Hi there I wonder if someone could help me? the other day I tried to install some new ram to my system and for some reason my backup disk has corrupted, when I try to access it I get an error saying the volume is corrupt and unreadable...I have tried using software such as R-studio and it finds all the files on the system but when I recover the files using this software the files seem empty or lacking data..which is strange because the file sizes appear to be exactly the same as the were before this problem...Does anyone know any good software that I could try or maybe recomend another way of fixing this problem...

2 very good programs

Getdataback http://www.ontrack.com/easyrecoveryprofessional/

Easyrecovery professional http://www.runtime.org/

I had a harddrive (200gb) that got its MFT all screwed up and then windows thought that it wasnt even formated and detected it as a RAW filesystem drive. These programs were able to see about 60gbs of recoverable data on that drive.

Definiftly worth a shot.

Thanks!! Thats basically whats happening to me I can see all the files on the drive but when I try to recover them with software such as R-Studio none of the files will work even though all the data is there, I was thinking the software was to blame as it only seems to understand certain file types ect.. I will give these softwares a go tonight, thanks alot..
