I'm having some problems with pelted (Helge's pelter) objects going into ZBrush. They're showing overlaps in the uvcheck in ZBrush, but look fine in the xsi texture editor. I must be doing something seriously wrong.
The steps I take in XSI are:
1. Create copy of object
2. Disconnnect islands.
3. Make islands.
4. Pelt each island, freeze object after each pelt.
5. Do a texture projection.
6. Drag and drop uvs to original object (which has a dummy texture projection). Delete dummy uvs.
If I export the split-up object to zbrush no overlaps show, only happens with the object that has the uvs pasted on. Something must be happening in step 6. Any ideas?
I really wish XSI was as compatible with ZBrush auvs as Maya. It's really a pain. I know there must be ways to tweak away the seams, but it's so easy in Maya.
