PREVISUALIZATION ARTIST
EA Criterion has an immediate need for a Previs Artist. Our forward thinking studio is an ideal environment blending new ideas, evolutions, and innovations with tried and true methods.
PRE-REQUISITES:
- Candidates for Previs positions must demonstrate strong artistic skills related to all aspects of 3D Art, Animation and Rendering.
- Candidates must demonstrate strong animation skills including timing, weight, arcs, and overlapping action
- Candidates must have a solid understanding of all parts of a standard cg production pipeline: modeling, keyframe animation, procedural animation, particle systems, lighting, shaders, rendering, and compositing
- Candidates must have experience within a high end CG production package utilizing particle systems, dynamics, and procedural animation.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Demonstrates the ability to create complex 3D Previs movies which should include an understanding of cinematic camera techniques and lighting aesthetics.
- Demonstrates ability to work to Design and Art briefs and explore a plethora of visual possibilities.
- Demonstrates understanding of techniques used to create CG Photo-real and non-Photo-real imagery.
- Must have a good understanding of computer games and the desire to work in the Games Industry.
UNDERSTANDING:
- Demonstrates strong understanding of following:
- CG Lighting, Shading, Effects, Dynamics
- Combining Post Processing with Rendering
- A basic understanding of real time game production techniques
PROFESSIONAL:
- Ability to take direction and artistic critique, as well as technical support.
- Must work well as part of a team, but must also be able to complete high quality work without constant technical support or constant direction.
- Remains focused, motivated and effective on all tasks through to completion.
- Demonstrates a desire to learn and grow professionally.
- Should have a degree or similar quality of work experience in 3D Arts/Design area.
PACKAGES

-Maya (preferred), Lightwave, SoftImage, 3D Studio Max.
-Photoshop
-Aftereffects, Shake, Digital Fusion
