how do i double the amount of CVc in a curve???

In Modeling mode go to
Edit Curves>Bebuild Curve*options*

Where it says number of spans.. u can adjust it there

Samething goes for surfaces. If u have a surface go to
Edit NURBS>Bebuild Surfaces*options*

Where it says number of Spans V and U
