The picture has an emotional touch to it when I first saw it.
I am quite impressed. It seems like as if it is telling a story.

Yeah... like what monotypic said. Is this going to be a short film? If so, I am really looking forward to it.

Very heart touching work... :hmm:

Everything is amazing. I would (if I could suggest anything) say to push the emotion on that dudes face a bit more, he looks sad or contemplative, but really push it I feel you could get a lot more emotion with skills like you possess out of that image :) also maybe use a lighter overlay on the bar that says "Memories work in progress" and that tone of blue outline really detracts from how elegant the whole piece. Great work -Jeremy-

Simply breathtaking composition.
I honestly cant tell the 3D from the 2D.

I agree with Roach's points about the title bar at the bottom, but its no big deal.

Please, post some more!

I was instantly floored when I saw this, the emotion you convey is extremely powerful. I found myself asking is this 2D or 3D? but it really doesn't matter, you held me captive for awhile wondering what the character is doing, where he's going, what he's thinking and more. And on the technical side you nailed it very well, the composition, the colors, the style, creativity and on. Makes you well deserving of the CGTalk award. I think alot of members will enjoy this. [Plugged]

You have recieved the CGtalk choice award. Please feel free to display this image anywhere you like! Congrats again, extremely well done

P.S. if you need a different background, please send me a PM with the RGB values.

great tx to all of you for your comments, its help me to gon on my project.

It's a concept for my principal character for a "short" animation, I think I'll mix 3d and 2D works, this picture is the atmosphere I want to give to my animation, hard to put in a 3D scene, but I'm working on it. The story will be about an indian who is the last of
his tribe, but with a fantactic direction.

This image reflect what I want to give on my story, The pastels tone is to give melancoly of an ancient time. The cloud is for the
trouble that occurs in the mind of my character. The blue tone is to soften this trouble. The text who appears in the left tells the story of this man, "I'm the last of my tribe.... they kill them all....
great wind, I feel your breath in my body.... the grass on my feets......
it will the beginning of the story, but I have to work on it more....

All the work was done on photoshop, I scan a draw and color it
with brush. I had some texture on the grass, but very slighty.
I'll post some screen of the layers soon.

See you soon for my next progress, and yes, I'll put off the progress bar krugar.

I really like it as well. It has similar qualities to pacific asian art. Simple shapes and soft color tones in the background. The character is very interesting since the illustrative style is totally different from the background in style and detail. Kudos! :buttrock:
