View Full Version : how to use mib_fg_occlusion?

there is a new shader that is mib_fg_occlusion. how to use this shader ? i just know mib_ao_occlusion shader is connect to ambient. anybody know?

Use it exactly the same way as AO, except render with Final gather on, for example you can use the PreviewFinalGather preset. You can also attach AO to it for when FG is not on.

zhenyang: Iīve read the tutorial and iīve compare two renders, one like tutorial an other only connecting the mib_fg_occlusion to the ambient of my lambert. And itīs the same but in both cases in the Output window appear: API 0.0 warn 302018:type conflict: "ambient color" is type color, "maya_color_to_vector" returns type color.

Why it is? and Itīs important or itīs only a common message?
