I have a Pinnacle DV500 for about a year and a half and it's been working fine so far (except for some issues under windows xp).
When i bought my new machine it came with 2 onboard firewire connections.
I've been trying it for a couple of weeks and it works pretty fine, the only diference between that and the DV500 being the realtime effects on adobe premiere.
So i'm thinking of selling the DV500.
Is there any reason i shouldn't? Is the onboard firewire as reliable as the DV500? Can i capture long segments of video without any frame drops?

My system specs (again):
Dell Precision 530 Dual Xeon 2.2 Ghz
512 Mb RDRAM
nVidia Quadro 4 750 XGL
Windows XP Pro (soon to become w2k :bounce: )

Will w2k handle the firewire connections as good as windows xp?

Thanks in advance!
