Hey fellas, with the future in mind, i want to get a hardware encoder perferably pci. Can a few of you throw out some names of companies that make them? I completely newbie to these.

My friend runs that website. It encompasses all things PVR (personal video recorder) hence the name, Build Your Own PVR. Hardware encoder cards are definitely key elements in a PVR/DVR. So have a look around, there's a forum there if you need more specifcs.
